Welcome to Markos Study. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Markos Study ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of our website, web app, and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What Markos Study is — and is not

Markos Study helps a parent or guardian create and lead trustworthy, age-appropriate family Bible studies. It is a tool to support your family's discipleship.

Markos Study is not a substitute for Scripture, parents, pastors, churches, prayer, or Christian community, and it does not replace medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency services. Content is generated with AI and reviewed for safety and Scripture accuracy, but it may still contain mistakes. Scripture is authoritative; the AI is not. Please use your own judgment, verify what matters, and seek appropriate help from qualified people when you need it. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.

Eligibility and your account

• You must be an adult (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live) to create an account.
• You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for the use of the Service by your family, including children you allow to participate.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access another family's data, or to probe, scan, disrupt, or breach the security of the Service.
• Reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or resell the Service or its content except as allowed by law.
• Misuse the AI features to generate harmful content, or attempt to bypass the safety and Scripture-integrity checks.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share.

AI-generated content

Studies, answers, questions, and activities are generated with AI and checked against approved Scripture and safety rules before they are shown. Even so, they may contain errors or omissions and are provided as study aids, not as authoritative teaching. You are responsible for reviewing content before using it with your family, and parental discretion always applies. If you see something that seems wrong or inappropriate, please use the report option so we can review it.

Scripture and translations

Bible text shown in the Service is provided under public-domain status or applicable license, and Scripture references are validated against an approved corpus. Some translations may be available only as references rather than full in-app text, depending on licensing.

Access and plans

We may offer some features for free and others through paid plans or sponsorships. If we introduce paid plans, the price, billing terms, and any trial will be shown to you before you purchase, and additional terms presented at checkout will apply. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and we will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the requests and information you provide. You grant us the permission needed to process that content to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We and our licensors own the Service itself — including its software, design, and the studies it generates — and these Terms do not transfer those rights to you. You may use generated studies with your own family for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Markos Study will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
